Bought this great hominid t-shirt at #AABA2026. As an unexpected bonus, it glows in the dark!
(And yes, I'm wearing it to my #bioanth grad seminar tonight.)

A blocky silver 3D print of Lucy standing with open palms.
A blocky 3D print of a gorilla with 3D prints of Lucy in the background.
Closeup of a silver 3D print of Lucy from the side. Behind it slightly out of focus is a copper colored 3D printed bust of Lucy. Far in the background and very out of focus is man loading chairs.
The latest #aaba2026 meeting was the best yet! I have so many highlights, from the art expo and silent auction to the education committee workshop and course seeing the fascinating talks and posters. I’m so glad my 3D prints were so well received.
On Friday night at #aaba2026, I presented the results of my master's thesis on Plio-Pleistocene South African hominin enamel-dentine junction shape. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and gave me feedback!

Thank you all at #aaba2026 who stepped up to donate! It's not too late to pitch in to help build a community museum at Fort Ternan. Be a PaleoHero!

I loved a ton of posters at #aaba2026 this year, but didn’t ask everyone if I could share them so sorry! Plus awesome @dentalanth.bsky.social symposium celebrating our 40th anniversary so will be some cool pubs in a special issue of the dental anthropology journal… maybe you should join??? ;)
Last but not least! Check out the genetics posters at today's late breaking session 28 starting at 5pm in Plaza Exhibits #AABA2026 www.xcdsystem.com/aaba/program...
A selfie in which I’m wearing a dress with colorful monkeys, a white cardigan, a lanyard, and rainbow Australopithecus afarensis earrings.

I’m bummed that it’s the last day of #AABA2026, but it’s been a great conference experience once again ☺️
Congratulations Dr. Achorn and it is an honor to join you and the rest of the Cobb Prof Dev Grant awardees. I cannot put into words how seeing Dr. Cobb next to my name is so meaningful, knowing he paved the way for Black anthropologists. Thank you to the #aaba2026 as well.
Join us for some good DNA themed conversation! #AABA2026
A PowerPoint slide with a photo of W. Montague Cobb and the names of grant recipients: Angela Achorn, Luke Fannin, Arielle Fogel, Tisa Loewen, Justin Lund, Sharmi Sen, and Taiye Winful.
I am so incredibly honored and grateful to have received a Cobb Professional Development Grant from the American Association of Biological Anthropologists to fund research on bone proteomes and skeletal pathologies in nonhuman primates! 🐒🦴 Congrats to the other recipients too!! #AABA2026
Long story short, I came to the #aaba2026 conference and fell in love with a floof: 🐶 💜
Always important to support efforts to connect our science to the communities we serve. If you can help to build the Fort Ternan Museum please do so! #AABA2026

First full American Association of Biological Anthropologists (@bioanth.org) meeting and I’m loving it—engaging, collaborative, and so welcoming (for me and my PhD student).
Also: therapy dogs!
We should make boop-able dog noses a standard feature of all conferences. 🐶

We've got two groups presenting growth-related research at #AABA2026 today! These were their term projects for our Growth and Development course this fall. Go check the posters out ! @harpurcollege.bsky.social
It’s so disappointing to hear that #aaba2026 accepted jonsbones/Bone Museum for a symposium. We should not be legitimizing a person who has sold indigenous remains and uses the remains of marginalized people from the medical trade as a prop for social media.
Happening now @bioanth.org #AABA2026 - a diverse and dynamic celebration of 40 years of the @dentalanth.bsky.social ! Deep bow of thanks to Christina Nicholas for inviting me to share some #TalesTeethTell
Thanks to all the speakers who participated in our symposium today! If you weren’t able to make it ,watch this account for a thread 🧵 coming soon linking to our speakers’ work and discussing all we learned about domestication, metagenomes, tapeworms, woolly dogs and more! 🤓 #AABA2026 #aaba2026
