I pulled the Latin of this adage or saying from Erasmus’s Adagia, but I doubt this was originally Latin. The same or similar saying is everywhere in Indo-European languages, though I’m not sure if I’ve heard it in English. 🐺 #lingualatina #Erasmus #proverb #adagium
