A detailed oil painting depicts the interior of a tram, where tree vintage bicycle brakes hang from the ceiling, arranged in a row against tram windows showing a blurred city street scene. Those brakes look like commuters, bended towards their cell phones. Each vintage brake is rendered with realism, showcasing its mechanical parts with precision. They are metallic, mostly silver and grey, with orange and blue accents on the brake pads, which are stylized to resemble eyes. Accessories: Small details like smartphones, an office briefcase add a surrealistic vibe of a commuters life to the scene. And questions functionality and usefulness of those passenger-brakes. These additions inject as well a contemporary element into the otherwise vintage scene. There's a subtle juxtaposition between the highly realistic depiction of the brakes and the softer, less defined background. The bottom border features a geometric pattern of a tram's floor. The image creates an interesting visual dialogue between the past and the present (modern technology) and questions human condidtion in this environment.

This is a 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒎. And these are its passengers. They have dreams and aspirations, but well, those are just shadows of already cut wings. 70x100 cm, my oil on canvas.
