Very poignant to see the #aidsquiltuk this afternoon at Tate Modern. Seeing names of people I knew from the early years of my diagnosis remembered in their quilts. We must never forget the past and all those people we lost to AIDS.

Each panel honours a life lost during the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s and 1990s — lovingly made by friends or family.
