This is a comic set in an alternate universe where my characters, Charlie and Thierry from Avarice Is My Darling's Vice, are not weird "secret friends" but instead beloved childhood besties. Aisha (in this AU she has different hair) asks the two of them: So like. Can I count on either of you to volunteer for fashion week? Charlie and Thierry also sport different looks in this universe. Charlie's hair is shorter and Thierry's hair is long and he's wearing a beanie. Charlie: Sure. Thierry grabs Charlie's arm. They share a moment of silent bestie communication. Charlie: Actually... We have things to do. So, no. Sorry. Thierry smiles mischievously.

Charlie: I guess I'd maybe try to find a way to get revenge... They have to go back to their house to sleep at some point, right? So I'd probably use that opportunity to stalk them back... Charlie smiles a little, satisfied with his answer and is also probably having a little revenge fantasy playing out in his head. Thierry: If I was your stalker, I wouldn't let that happen.

He's thinking about how he's sooooooooooooooo honest and hard-working. Thierry sees him. Thierry: Charlie! Wow, you seem cheerful! Did you get some good news? Charlie is no longer smiling. Uhhh... what? He turns away quickly. Thierry: Wait, hold on!
Charlie takes a tentative glance back. He notices Thierry's immaculately coiffed hair, Thierry's expensive smelling perfume, Thierry's perfectly ironed shirt, Thierry's brand new smartphone, Thierry's 9000 dollar watch... Oh my God. Thierry: Maybe you've heard already but I'm throwing a Halloween party.
Thierry smiles brightly. Thierry: I think it'd be fantastic if you could make it, Charlie! Charlie is not really listening. He thinks about how Thierry is the richest most popular guy at their school, a stereotypical Prince Charming... AKA THE ONE GUY HE DOESN'T NEED IN HIS LIFE AS A RANDO!! Thierry: Well? Have any Halloween plans? I'm inviting everyone in our grade... Charlie, thinking: Why the hell is he talking to me anyways? I have no memory of ever striking a convo with this dude...
AVARICE IS MY DARLING'S VICE is a comic about Charlie, an npc teen, who catches the attention of Thierry, his school's prince. This is bad news for Charlie, who has something to hide, and it turns out he's more connected to Thierry than he thought... (read right to left!)
