I just learned about the insolvency of Aldebaran Robotics, producers of Pepper and Nao - the backbone of social robotics research. This is terrible news for the colleagues at #aldebaranrobotics and for #socialrobotics at large. Will smart and affordable social robots go the way of the flying car?
