Stone Circle, Callanish is a landscape format photograph in black and white and shows a series of ancient standing stones. These megaliths vary in height and shape, some tall and slender, others shorter and more irregular. The surface of the stones is rough and textured, some with visible grooves or patterns eroded into them. The stones are situated on ground that appears grassy and uneven. The sky above the stones is streaky, with fast-moving clouds indicating a windy environment or a long exposure shot. There is a horizon in the distance, but no buildings or trees are visible and show a bare and rugged landscape.
