The people in #ImmigrationDetention in El Salvador are those that came to the US because they thought this country aligned with their morals. They saw themselves #Americanized to our freedoms and left everything they know for that goal. We failed #democracy by punishing those fleeing dictatorships.

You know, I have been in a soft fluffy crowd for years, not being aware of pretty much anything other than my own needs and wants. #Americanized. October 2023, I was rudely shaken awake and now my eyes are open. I am painfully aware of every moment of every day. I AM AWAKE AND I FEEL IT ALL!

I’m looking at my #ancestryreport & remembering that #racist who told me to “go back to where I came from”.

I’m not sure #Nigeria, #France, #Britain, #Germany, #SierraLeone, #Ireland, or #Congo would welcome me as I’m a tad too #Americanized.
