New discovery of a #ancientcat species! The jaw of this cat (Prionailurus kurteni) was excavated & is related to Asia's leopard cats. The fossil was dated 275-331k yrs ago, which means they were likely around early humans. The jaw's size suggests it was one of the smallest wild cat species to exist!
