On #ThisDayInHistory in 1956, the Swedish liner #Stockholm t-boned the Italian liner #AndreaDoria, causing her to roll onto her side and sink. Most passengers were quickly rescued by numerous passing ships, including the famed #ÎleDeFrance. The Doria was only three years old.
