Uncle Abdullah Gök from the village of Ehwo was a Genocide survivor of Sayfo 1915. Thousands of Aramaic-speaking Christians (Syriac Arameans, Assyrians, Chaldeans), Armenians and Anatolian/Pontic Greeks were killed.
