Result Details
Two figures. One shows the geographical maps of islands from Atlantic archipelagos including Madeira, Cape Verde, Canaries and São Tomé & Príncipe. The maps are coloured to highlight locations for which climate change between 1980 and 2019 have increases or decreases ecological suitability for dengue virus transmission. The other plot shows, per island, the absolute change in suitability accumulated over the study period, showing that only in tropical islands have changes been significant.
We have been exploring a bit whether #ClimateChange trends (1980-2019) in some Atlantic #archipelagos may have resulted in changes to climate-based #ecological suitability for #dengue virus - in short, yes; but with relevance only in tropical islands. We will put this and other results out ASAP.
