George Butler's 1862 letter to his future wife, Fanny Brett. It was partially written while on a ship. The language is distinctly of the time, and he makes unflattering observations of pre-earthquake San Francisco. Our Archives has a typed copy for legibility.
A “Buy Canadian” flyer tucked in a BC Cement Co receipt sent to Richard Nimmo in 1934. The flyer asked customers to buy produced-in-Canada goods to increase employment in our country!
