This is a young hare seen last month. It is still brown, but will turn white when the snow falls because hares are geniuses.

This is a very plump Arctic Ground Squirrel, calmly looking at the camera and not at all bothered by me. This one was seen near Kluane Lake in an area frequented by people, so it was used to posing for pics. I hope it had a wonderful fall and winter.
