🚨The #ArcticMetagaz is back under tow! After drifting dangerously close to the #Benghazi coast, eastern Libyan forces successfully reconnected the line to the tug Maridive 701.
The wreck is now ~90 NM offshore, crawling North at 1 knot.
⚠️Strong sirocco winds are expected in the next few days.

The position of the Arctic Metagaz vessel, updated on April 9, 14:45 UTC, is as follows: 32.586, 19.962, 21.5 NM off the Libyan coast.
But the wind is about to shift and carry it back out to sea...

Two weeks ago, the #Maridive701 was involved in securing the #ArcticMetagaz. Position since Sunday suggest it's on it again. There seem to be no other offshore vessels in the area. Distance just 40nm from Benghazi now.

Had an amateur go at finding the #ArcticMetagaz. Think I did. Far SE of the #BouriOilfield. 76km NW of Tripoli. S1 imagery as of today, 05:40UTC. Wind & current SW. Strangely, the ship seems to be moving SE, assume it's been just 20nm E of Bouri on Mar 19. #Tripoli at risk? Pls prove me wrong.
