Today I randomly photographed 9 #Arkys speechleyi youngling spiders, waiting on leaves for flies, doing their best to look like poo. Anyway what to do with 9 photos of the same #spider species? #StPatricksDay #StPaddysDay #Irish #SaintPatricksDay
Heres some of the #Arkys curtulus species to compare. With at least a dozen arky species just in my local area, and all of them with diverse morphs, they are really hard to ID to species level!

Of course if you want a #spider that wont move while you get a good zoomed in photo of its butt.... #Arkys like Arkys speechleyi are perfect. They pretending to be bird poo. And bird poo doesnt move, even for a human...... until the last possible second
#Photography101 A problem with photographing pretty #spiders with kills, is the kills are usually drab and boring in comparison. but SOLUTION, just photograph them on dates gone wrong, That way you have pretty spider and pretty kill. #arkys lancearius
Some spiders from my day :) A young male #Astilodes mariae, the very odd #Arkys furcatus, a "red and black" spider in #Nicodamus genus and the strange tribal mask looking last one is #Arkys lancearius
An example of a nice healthy gravid #Arkys lancearius lady to compare to find above. While many Arkys hide in plain site by looking like poo, this bright red species has somehow achieved success by doing to opposite. They are excellent hunters and reasonably common in my backyard.
Spotting wildlife because its crawling on you should be taken as a win! Not as a reason to freak out and start slappin' stuff to death. You enter the jungle, you gonna get crawled on. Not everything out for blood hey! Enjoy the little things :) like #Arkys lancearius
