LoK: Ascendance won't be for every fan of the franchise, but I enjoyed it, and I'm glad to see people willing to try different things to keep Legacy of Kain alive.

Legacy of Kain: Ascendance. The Story is adapted from the comic book; The Dead Shall Rise, however the pacing is somewhat better. The Character Elaleth has a bit more depth to her, and is voiced by the amazing Elsie Lovelock. The platforming segments can go from 0 to 11 in a near heartbeat, meaning you have to act fast or face ALOT of deaths if you aren't too swift. The combat is simplistic but it works for the style of the game. Playing as Raziel ( Sarafan, and Vampire ) Kain, and Elaleth do in fact have a different feel to them, whilst retaining the core gameplay. The Soundtrack by Celldweller is great, but there it doesn't capture the LoK vibes I'm used to, but that is alright. Whilst they could've expanded on Elaleth's journey into the Demon Realm, as well as lessen her influence on Kain and Raziel's decisions, I do genuinely feel there was more of an attempt here, than in the comic. And although a short game, I can't help but feel charmed by this. Overall Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a fun, but could've been expanded game that does add more character layers, and does show there is a love for the series still despite the writing's faults. A healthy 7.5 out of 10 Kyle Approved Game.
Finished Legacy of Kain Ascendance. My review is within the Alt Description, and I will say that it's got faults, but does have moments of good.
