A then and now collage of yarn spun on my spinning wheel a year ago and recently. The image on the left is from one year ago when I first got a spinning wheel, and I love it, but it has many mistakes and is a work in progress. The more recent image on the right is much more consistent in weight and full of rich colors.

It’s been a magical year since I got my spinning wheel and transitioned from drop spindle to spinning wheel the vast majority of the time… Fun to see how far I’ve come!

Got myself this vintage Ashford Traditional spinning wheel. It needs some work and some new parts but I think it should be serviceable with a little TLC.

Late 70s or early 80s is my guess.
