#atmospherestudy I will be honest; I did not quite grasp what was to be expected with this module. But maybe that uncertainty is the point. I mentioned a lot about interpretation - atmospherically, through the gradual pacing I was able to "feel" before I could explain the "what" into words.

#atmospherestudy Unlike TMITM, I was forced to intake this media without a visual component which made listening feel uneasy. I was unsure what was going to happen next. This allowed me to trust what I was hearing in the moment to figure out a scene

I'm just taken aback by how much I have expanded my thought process and how much my environment has affected me without realizing #atmospherestudy #willieverunseeit

#atmospherestudy At 8:00 the sound shifted and it made me unsettled. With visuals it would have hit more - The lack of image did encourage imagination which makes it more uncomfortable.

The audio made me wonder... about the environments, and how they made me feel. If I were watching, I never would have noticed that. The anti-environment was most definitely present here #atmospherestudy #irealizethepoint

What surprised me was the smooth transitions and how they transitioned from one setting to the next. I think if the audio was synced correctly with visuals, it would've hit much differently since I wouldn't have noticed due to my attention being on the visuals #atmospherestudy #smoothcriminal

#atmospherestudy I could totes play around with how I speak to invoke certain emotions in the listener. There's def tactics and methods out there to use to achieve such, and it's kind of exciting cuz I've only ever been the listener. Now, I get to be the creator 😝

#atmospherestudy I guess something that the audio did to me that I wouldn't notice initially was that, when the composition of the sounds were... becoming more abstract, I just accepted it for what it was. I'd like to think I've always been pretty open-minded, but I can admit I'd be judgmental-

#atmospherestudy (8:00) was unsettling but also expected, because while the sudden noises were loud and instantaneous, the combination of the narrator's soft voice and well-timed moments made me anticipate that something was going to happen. It may have hit the same way if visuals were involved-

#atmospherestudy silence become my punchline, that makes sense just because at times, silence can tell a lot about me considering I’m very talkative idk if this makes sense but yea

#atmospherestudy I guess the Audio had me kind of disinterested, I was paying attention but the book had me engaged questioning.

#atmospherestudy when the lady says my knickerbockerglory and everyone goes crazy, I wanna see the image of what happened. Can’t tell if theirs excitement or fear

#atmospherestudy I really like the idea of using background singing (like the female vocals in the beginning of the recording) to enhance a message or vibe of a work...I think that was super cool and initially doesn't make sense but later on does, which is the effect I hope to have.

#atmospherestudy is this supposed to be an ad for this sundae? because it is not very effective

I really enjoyed the thunderstorm noises and I would actually want to listen to them a lot more for a lot of things I do outside like studying. #atmospherestudy

#atmospherestudy I think something the audio did was make me more aware and pay more attention to the background noise. Given that this is about ice cream, it makes sense that, to align with the peaceful, vibey sounds of the ocean, there were dishes clanking in the background as well.

#atmospherestudy the audio is fragmenting my perception of the sundae. the switch from a quiet beach to a bustling restaurant builds uo the suspense to the sundae coming out, it makes me just as excited as the narrator for the sundae.

#atmospherestudy 7:59 was a moment that completely took me off guard simply because I wasn't expecting that transition from something that was more soft and comfy and gentle to a vibrant, colorful, and bright atmosphere (sound-wise). the lack of image really made me more aware of the setting change.

both the audio and reading were weird to me because of how unusual the audio was at some points and in the reading some of the images were unusual too. #atmospherestudy

#atmospherestudy the screaming right after the knickbocker sundae comes out caught me by surprise. what is does this sundae look like? and why is everyone shocked? i wish i could see what it looks like but for now i will assume it looks repulsive 😔

I don’t fully understand what the point of this media was. Like what truly was knicker bocker glory because the sounds seemed very random. #atmospherestudy

I don’t think I would have noticed as much of the background noise as I did if I hadn’t read TMITM. Like there was people laughing randomly during dialog. #atmospherestudy

The way she said "this used to be XX playground"

The nostalgic fleeting moments she conveys through her monologue, the emotions shes buried in, i can hear the melancholy in her voice. Thats what the lack of image encouraged.

Around 6 minutes and 30 seconds the violins and waves were playing. If there was a visual I don’t think I would have noticed the waves as much and what they added to the media if there was a visual. I would have been too busy with the visual to appreciate it. #atmospherestudy

Media is everything. Its attached to all sense—not just from sight. I was able to (to an extent) understand TMITM in a visually but not im am auditorial perspective

what was the attended response from this audio? I had a melancholic-nostalgic feeling. It felt weirdly refreshing—very unusual. I hope someone else can relate.

The screaming in the last few seconds caught me off guard and not seeing anything made me focus on the tone more which is better I think #atmospherestudy

It felt like the background noises and silence played a big role more than when the person was talking. #atmospherestudy

I feel like around the minute 5:30 is when the audio changed how I listened to it. Everything was different like the atmosphere and I was paying more attention to details I wouldn't have paid attention to before reading the book and listening to the videos. #atmospherestudy
