Taarna's theme by movie composer Elmer Bernstein (who also composed the music for Ghostbusters) was originally meant for Farrah Fawcett's character in Saturn 3, but it was never used so it was used for this movie instead. The songs E5150 by Black Sabbath & Through Being Cool by Devo was never included on the soundtrack album, mostly because of license issue. There was legal difficulties surrounding the use of some songs in the movie which delayed its release to VHS in 1996.
