Day 6 of #avventuretoscane : Assisi! Walked around the St. Francis basilica, including the crypt, and hiked all the way up to the Rocca Maggiore fortress! Strenuous, and worth it for the panoramic view of the valley.

Day 5 of #avventuretoscane featured a stop in #siena that involved #panini and #gelato and then an afternoon touring Antinori nel Chianti Classico and sampling some #umbriaigt #chianticlassicodocgriserva #chianticlassicodocggranselezione and #nobiledimontepulciano

Day 4 of #avventuretoscane I made #pici , #pappardelle , and #tiramisu at Le Caggiole ! Resulted in some of the best #pasta I’ve ever had, plus excellent wine pairings. An unforgettable experience.

Day 3 of #avventuretoscane #montepulciano Another lovely panoramic view of the valley after climbing up Montepulciano! Other reward for the climb was a lovely lunch of pizza with sausage, mushroom, and truffle. Lots and lots of flavor.

Day 2 of #avventuretoscane featured a wine tasting at Podere le Ripi plus a cellar tour. I could feel the tension leaving my body just sitting on the patio and taking in the landscape.
