Jo and Bernard both deal in desires - Bernard's existence is a conglomerate of human desire for connection, and Satan is disgusted by how easily he can manipulate that desire. The two are fundamentally incompatible.

Jaime is like a little lantern. Because she has floaty hair, a glowy hole in her chest, and cracks all over her body she prefers to wear glamour to look more like a Normal Human. Jo is mostly just Vibes (and eyes).

Bernard's actually just a mass of stars. If you see a starry sky in AWC, that's him. His humanoid form is more like a finger puppet than anything

what do I mean by canon forms? Well, Bernard (aka Astrel) is a god as expansive as the night sky, for example. Teo in his early stages is a giant flowering bug, but then later leaves that vessel as a giant peony made of wings

Age in AWC is unrelated to their appearance, as each spirit can alter it at will. They all have a more "canon" form but "Guardian Spirit" is a social services job so they take on a more humanoid look.

Teo is actually the youngest of the bunch. Jaime's soul has experienced other lives
