Bulkley Valley Stewardship Coalition recently discovered large piles of subalpine fir from old growth forests, some as old as 250 yrs, all waiting to be taken to Drax's Smithers pellet plant. Most of the pellets will go to 🇯🇵 + 🇰🇷, but UK subsidies prop up this business. #biomass #AxeDrax

Agree we must #AxeDrax, however people who claim to care about AQ should also acknowledge the total emissions from domestic wood burning (as they are happy to do for traffic). If “traffic” is treated as a single source, domestic wood burning should too & its much worse than Drax @greenparty.org.uk!

Drax is the UKs greatest single point of greenhouse gas emissions. The single greatest point.
Axing Drax would be an obvious decision for any government that wasn’t compromised by donor interests.
