The five friends have been held in pre-trial detention since September 2025 for their activism against Elbit Systems and its role in the Gaza genocide. Expect an overview from legal and everyday perspectives, including the prisoners’ mistreatment, ways to show solidarity, and what to expect in the coming months as the court considers the case. 🗣 The Ulm5 event will be held in English. ONE SLOGAN DIFFERENT LAWS The previous court hearing in Berlin against the popular slogan: From the river to the sea Palestine will be free was attempting to criminalize the chant using public incitement" allegations. This time, the German state is attempting to use §86 StGB to criminalize it for "spreading propaganda of'; unconstitutional and terrorist organizations,".

BANNED ORGANIZATIONS Samidoun and Hamas were banned in Germany in November 2023, and the German state arbitrarily assigned the slogan "From the Hive, ito the Sea, Palestine will be Free' as "belonging" to them, in an attempt to establish the legal framework to completely prohibit it! This case is the first in Berlin where  they try to apply this reprehensible law!

WHY ALL THIS DRAMA TO BAN A SLOGAN? • To prohibit the simple, well-known and !principled political position calling for the liberation of Palestine and ending the occupation! • Furthe rackdown on the Palestine solidarity movement in Germany and shaping its urscourse • Normalizing the framing of Palestine solidarity and the Palestinian resistance as "criminal" and "terrorist"! EIN SLOGAN - VERSCHIEDENE GESETZE Bei der letzten Gerichtsverhandlung in Berlin gegen die populäre Parole „From the river to the sea Palestine will be free“ wurde versucht, die Parole mit dem Vorwurf der Volksverhetzung zu kriminalisieren. Diesmal versucht der deutsche Staat, ihn mit Hilfe des §86 StGB wegen „Verbreitung von Propaganda für verfassungswidrige und terroristische Organisationen“ zu kriminalisieren.

VERBOTENE ORGANISATIONEN Samidoun und Hamas wurden im November 2023 in Deutschland verboten, und der deutsche Staat hat willkürlich den Slogan „From the river to the sea Palestine will be free“ als ihnen „zugehörig“ eingestuft, in dem Versuch, den rechtlichen Rahmen für ein vollständiges Verbot zu schaffen! Dieser Fall ist der erste in Berlin, in dem sie versuchen, dieses verwerfliche Gesetz anzuwenden!

WARUM DIESES GANZE DRAMA, UM EINEN SLOGAN ZU VERBIETEN? • Um die einfache, bekannte und prinzipielle politische Position zu verbieten, die zur Befreiung Palästinas und zur Beendigung der Besatzung aufruft! • Die Palästina-Solidaritätsbewegung in Deutschland weiter zu unterdrücken und ihren Kurs zu bestimmen • Die Normalisierung der Einstufung der Palästina-Solidarität und des palästinensischen Widerstands als „kriminell“ und „terroristisch“!
