I bought the Monument Valley Collection on steam and just played through the first game, including it's two small expansions. A perspective bending puzzle game inspired by MC Escher art. Great visuals, sound and gameplay, edging towards cosy. #backlog2025
I completed Shadow of the Colossus on PS4/5. Good game and the Colossi are very impressive, especially in this updated version. Spent more time fighting with the awful camera than them though! The world also just feels a bit wasted. It's massive with nothing to do #backlog2025

A nice remaster. I'm happy Konami decided to stay true to the original and didn't change anything apart from the graphics. That said, not all of the expressions and animations stayed intact. In fact, the HD collection is still 98% enough if you have it.
Picked up a GBA game I sold some years ago. Bomberman Tournament. 4 Player Bomberman battles with a Zelda/Pokemon style adventure mode too. Gonna have a full playthrough soon. #backlog2025
Finally finished Mario Odyssey on Switch! I got it with the Switch and bounced of it once I got to Donk City. Really great game though and quite addictive. More post story stuff to do! #backlog2025
Bugsnax complete on PS5. Good game, like something Rare would come up with. Not too hard and lots of missions and side-quests to do. Some representation of same sex couples, which you don't see often in games, so that's cool. Good for kids and adults! #backlog2025
Day of the Tentacle Remastered complete on PS5. An absolute classic, I completed this decades ago on PC, when it was released. I only needed one small hint this time 😀 #backlog2025
Abzû complete on PS4/5 in one sitting! Short game but chilled out with great music and graphics. A bit like Journey, and as with that game, I wasn't really sure what was happening. I enjoyed it all though so would recommend a playthrough to anyone. #backlog2025

Still a great game and the remaster looks absolutely stunning.
Still remembered how to do all the puzzles in it and the trophies were very easy to get.

A remake of a beat em up from the 90s.
Had a go last night and almost got through it.
Got stuck on the second to last stage.

Hyper Light Drifter.
Finally got this one off the backlog. Really enjoyed it, absolutely beautiful art design and gameplay. Combat is really good and fluid, some difficult bosses but nothing to challenging. Would definitely recommend.

Hollow Knight completed on PS5 today. This is a great MetroidVania style game. While not as visually stunning as Ori, it still looks and sounds fantastic. It is a little challenging in places (there was much swearing), but different charm combinations help. #backlog2025

Resident Evil Revelations
I was not a fan of this game to be honest. I love the series, but this just didn't play that well. Enemies were bullet sponges, the bosses weren't that good and the dodge mechanic just did not work when I wanted it to.

Started a playthrough of Firewatch on PS5 and couldn't put it down, until I'd completed it! It's an easy and fairly short game but well done. Give it a play if you haven't already. #backlog2025
Fez finished to full completion, where I had to get some solutions from the web, because some of the puzzles are insane. Don't even get Platinum trophy for it. #backlog2025

The random wheel generator has come up with Resident Evil Revelations next.
I've never played this one, and I've had it for years too. Looking forward to it as Resident Evil is one of my favourite series of all time.

I had this game back on the ps1 many years ago and didn't really like it because I wasn't used to this kind of FPS with different explorable levels and back tracking.

I do like it but its just so long.
I managed to defeat Diablo at the end of act 4, but there's and act 5 which I've read is from the DLC.
As far as im concerned I've beat the base game and that more than enough for me.

Fez completed on PS5. I didn't get everything but still managed well over 100%. Stop making me figure out translations to alien languages though. Ain't nobody got time for that! Still a good puzzle platformer with a retro look. #backlog2025
