I accidentally kicked some leaf litter off of someone's secret stash of Spice Bush berries while leading a hike in #BackusWoods! Excellent interpretive moment!

Special treat - with days starting to shorten, my early morning at work on @NCC_CNC's #BackusWoods property included a misty sunrise!

#TFW the giant, hardwood tree falls exactly lengthwise on the trail. (Trail is wider than it appears, so we had to clear the whole thing). We were able to buck it up and roll it off, but wow... I'm wiped! #CrossfitForNature #BackusWoods

Today we cleared some trails of fallen trees on ⁦@NCC_CNC⁩ ‘s #BackusWoods . This ash died of natural causes but a rough count of the rings puts it at >70 years old!

Thanks to #volunteers we were able to remove all this garbage (plus a bunch not pictured!) from roadside along @NCC_CNC ‘s #BackusWoods for #EarthDay2018!
