Lilly Cummins investigates genomic relics of bacterial warfare in commensal E. coli. Prevalence of 234 ST131 core alleles were quantified pre-1999 and post-2015 (pandemic period). 40% of alleles were shown to be absent pre-2000. #BacterialWarfare #Genomics
