My bird nesting material offerings consists of sheep wool and cat fur. This morning I noticed the bushtits favor the long staple of the wool since the build large apartment style nests, and the cavity nesting black capped chickadees went for the cat fur. #springwatch #birdsky #balconybirds

March 2025 was a strange bird month on my balcony. I was stalled at 14 species, but a sudden uptick in the ninth inning upped my total to a record 18 for the month. Looking through my logs, at least 4 years since a Spotted Towhee has visited. #birdsky #birding #balconybirds
