Ya but…There’s like 17,000 CFs in the Hall. Third base is a weird tweener position, and careers have a shorter trajectory than in CF (where guys go to the corners all the time). Having Kirby’s career at 3B is more impressive than in CF. IMO.

A .276 career hitter, he had 3184 hits, 436 HR and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
Orioles DH Harold Baines played 21 years and had 3 stints in Baltimore and with the Chicago White Sox and also played for the Oakland A's, Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians. He was a 5x All Star and won 1 Silver Slugger. He was a career .289 hitter with 384 HR and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019.

He was a 6x All Star, 3x Silver Slugger winner and won 1 World Series. He was a career .279 hitter with 2010 hits and 287 HR. He also had a huge contract deferment when he signed with the Mets as a free agent prior to the 1992 season. And since July 1, 2011 the Mets pay him $1.19M annually until July 1, 2035.
