Still playing with QGis. A combination of a colorized DEM layer under 50% transp. hillshade layer with 1-ft contour intervals. Clearly shows how the left (west) side of my property is wetter than the east. And how it drains into the marshy area to the north. #permaculture #basemap

Playing around with 1 ft. contour intervals on my property using QGis. First one is over a grayscale hillshade layer, second is over "Google Satellite Hybrid" summer layer. Very cool! Contour labels are in feet; north is at top. #permaculture #basemap
