Without warning, a massive seismic event—known as the Pacific Break—splits the ocean floor far beyond the Island’s horizon. This rupture unleashes colossal tidal waves that slam into the Island, flooding entire biomes and permanently submerging familiar locations. When players drop in for the first time, the Island is partially drowned. Coastal cities lie in ruins, coral reefs pierce through former streets, and vast stretches of open water now separate scattered landmasses. The storm itself has changed, forming cyclonic walls over the sea rather than shrinking uniformly. The Island is no longer stable—it is sinking. The Rise of the Leviathans As the waters rise, something ancient awakens. Long buried beneath the ocean floor are the Leviathans, massive sentient sea titans created during the Island’s earliest formation. These beings were designed to regulate the planet’s energy flow long before the Zero Point existed, but centuries of Loop interference forced them into hibernation. Now, drawn to the seismic break, the Leviathans begin surfacing across the map. Some are hostile, others neutral, but all reshape the environment as they move—creating whirlpools, crushing POIs, and altering storm paths. Their presence reveals a shocking truth: the Island was never meant to survive endless resets. Secrets Beneath the Waves Midway through the chapter, divers and submarines allow players to explore submerged temples and drowned vaults. These ruins confirm that the Island has gone through multiple natural cycles long before the Loop existed—and each cycle ended with a controlled “reset” led by the Leviathans themselves.
