I witnessed a #rescue that proves heroes come in all forms—meet the team! #BDMLR @rspcalabanimal.bsky.social At #Paignton, #Devon , 🇬🇧. Team did their best to refloat the Dolphin, but #Dolphin stranded again and sadly passed away.

The lights set up by the Torbay Coastguard Rescue Team allowed us to safely attempt the refloat.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue and Coastguard volunteers caring for a stranded common dolphin.
Unexpected Saturday night with #BDMLR responding to a stranded dolphin near Paignton Pier. Worked with Torbay Coastguard to move it to Torquay Harbour for refloating. Sadly, it passed away despite our efforts. A reminder that these events are complex and outcomes aren't always what we hope for. 😔
