View on a wooden access ramp build of white-painted wood. It leads to one of the Beach club style separated parts of Knokke beach. In the far background you can the waterline. As the season hasn't begun yet it is empty of people but preparatory works have begun. Over the entrance is a massive, lacquered wooden sign reading "EACH NUMBER ONE - Welcome". Originally it spelt "BEACH NUMBER 1", but obviously somebody nicked the "B".

The waterline at the beach of Knokke with rising water. The photo was taken litterally with the camera in the sand, so the perspective is very low and the foreground is out of focus. The sand here is very coarse and you can clearly distinguish four areas (from right to left): the water, the sand that just got wet, the sand that is somewhat moist and the dry sand. In the background the "skyline" of Knokke is visible as well as a child in a pinkish coat collecting seashells seen from behind that ran into the shot from offscreen. Unplanned, but adds a certain jenesaispasquoi.

I'm starting with my personal favorite: #sunset on the #belgiancoast

At regular intervals along the pier are concrete columns with a small window between each column. On top of each column is a square with four orange spherical lights. In the distance is a building with a tower on top, at the end of the pier. The beach is visible on either side of the pier, and the sea in the background. The sky is gray and cloudy. The pier is wet, reflecting the sky.
