The emails suggesting we should at least "charge a market rate" are interesting b/c there is currently no charge for curb parking.

Tonight a #BendCC council majority supported my motion to double funding for city safety projects for from $400k/yr to $800k/yr.
Previous years had about $100k budgeted. This will make a huge difference for safely getting around without a car.

Last night’s #BendCC council mtg honored Pride month & celebrated the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. Veterans Dick Tobiason and Joe Sharpe received the proclamation.
Sharpe, a WWII veteran, will turn 100 this August. His service started with a segregated army. Honored to shake his hand.
Pleased to see The Bulletin highlight the #BendCC draft goal of zero traffic fatalities. Can't agree with this part though:
"But, of course, some people will lose — people who can’t get around well without a personal vehicle..."
