Excellent! Mine a route march as I've had fixation on my explorations being train only last 2 yrs, but if plans for aiding local RSPB group get some #BirdingByTrain trips in 2026 pan out, might be adding in buses a bit😉
(Watch this space for my New Years' Resolution😆)
Highlight of today's #BirdingByTrain outing?
Those huge smiles on faces of the family out w. @ramsgatebirds.bsky.social.
Great to meet you at last Keith - loved how you were still 'togging your birds even after tour had finished👍 A true ambassador for both Kingfishers and Ramsgate 🏅

At my recent talk, told "But when you go #BirdingByTrain you only have a camera, never a heavy 'scope and binoculars".
So, made today an 'all the gear' walk from Ramsgate station to harbour.
Signs said 17 minutes. Just how long did this overweight pensioner take? 17 minutes. Yup that'll do ☺️

Pleasant stroll Rochester train station to Chatham train station. All the River #Medway Redshanks and Common Sandpipers busy working their patches.

Managed a spot of #BirdingByTrain research on today's walk via Higham station. A 20 minute stroll thru' farmland to the edge of the marshes, then out to the Thames..
(Today's lunch-stop a rainy one on the beach.)
For me, this was 5 stops from home for under a fiver. No complaints.

Today's #BirdingByTrain research was testing/timing some #Medway estuary routes around what I call 'Callum Ridge'.
Just found nice read online, Swale Council Local Landscape Designations, inc. their name for area: 'Lower Halstow- Iwade ridge'. Mine's better😇
