In 1577 while a great storm raged in Blythburgh in Suffolk, UK, Black Shuck is said to have appeared on a main beam in the church's roof. It leapt into the congregation below, killing two men and a boy. The ghostly dog's claw marks can still be seen on the North door of the Church.
