In another life, Edward saw the seagull for what it was. In another life, Ned boards the revenge only to find Izzy waiting for him, knowing that he would come because Edward told him so. In another life, Ned stays. He doesn't believe that Edward can change, and then all at once, he sees it, clear as day, like looking in a mirror. They stay together after that. The four of them; Edward loosens the hands around Izzy's neck and gives Ned the space to nestle in alongside him in Izzy's heart. Edward still has his bad days. But they find their way through them together.
