Just back from a small heartfelt dinner celebrating Gary Floyd's birthday today with his husband and another close friend (non FB). For those who have not been following, Gary passed away earlier this year. He was a dear friend as well as bandmate, so his passing was losing close family. Only now I'm able to really listen to Gary's music again without crying. So, here I am spinning one of his albums with Sister Double Happiness (1993's Uncut). If you haven't listened to this band, or his other bands The Dicks or Black Kali Ma please listen. Much greatness there. Hoping to formally release our mixed & mastered album with his final band The Buddha Brothers in the near future.
