I've attached the completed Rent calculation form which includes your new rent amount effective February 1, 2025. I filled it out for you, but going forward next year, please complete the rent calculation form yourself. The purpose of the Rent calculation form is for tenants to inform HUl of their income change an adjustment of their own rent. 2. Thank you for sharing your official documentation of name change. We will adjust our record accordingly. I recommend adjusting your records including Bank statements and income information so that there is no confusion when we submit RAP documents or TIC documents to the county. 3. Correct, you have been approved for the Rental assistance program. As discussed in the lease signing, RAP does not cover your portion of the rent. All eligible tenants are required to maintain the RAP subsidy in order to qualify for the tenant rent credit (This is how we are able to charge you a lower amount of rent.) I could clarify this further if needed. In terms of back rent, I checked in with our finance team and I think their may have been a bounce rent check last month. Please check your records and get back to me if you have any questions. 4. Your MEAP application was submitted to OHEP back in early November. Have you received notice that you were approved? Follow-Up on Outstanding Concerns Hi Tiffany, I hope this email finds you well. Tue, 28 Jan at 5:51 pm Regarding Point #3, I came to the office in person on December 26, prior to my bills coming out, and informed Angela Martin that I had been paid early. I explained that I would be writing a check for my December rent proactively, expecting it to be cashed within five days to avoid any potential issues. Unfortunately, I was only made aware that the check had bounced over two weeks later. This delay has significantly worsened my health due to the stress of owing $915.86 in back rent. I had also believed that my rental assistance would help cover my portion of the rent, which was an error on my part. As of now, I have not received an OHEP approval letter, and the latest update I've received is that my application is still processing. Regarding Point #6, as mentioned in my previous email, we have been contacting maintenance repeatedly about the concerns I raised, including the presence of black mold. While I understand the challenges of being short-staffed, black mold is a severe health hazard for tenants. This is especially concerning as at least two of us in the house have asthma, and I am chronically ill. The presence of black mold is exacerbating our symptoms, particularly given its spread throughout the property. Given these ongoing issues and the impact they have had on my health, I plan to file for Rent Escrow until the black mold and outstanding maintenance requests are properly addressed. Additionally, I have been served with eviction papers and am now in contact with legal counsel to address the situation. I will also notify regarding the grievance I intend to file. Lastly, I respectfully ask that Angela Martin refrain from making comments about moving into the property after we move out. Such remarks feel inappropriate under the current circumstances.
