Blaise stares as Luna brushes past him, talking to Potter about wrackspurts and other whimsical nonsense.
“Who *is* that girl?” He asks.
The question erupts from him like flowers in the spring, blooming in his chest.
“I still don’t get it…” Blaise whispered as the soprano sang her aria. Luna didn’t respond, her sparkling eyes focused on the stage. “It’s just about… cats?”
“Shhhh!”
Blaise grimaced in apology. He sat back and grabbed her hand. The plot was irrelevant as long as he was with her.

"I have so many regrets," Luna says. Her voice is pained, but a hardness clings to its edges. Blaise's eyes flick quickly to Luna's arm, tracing the contours of the Mark. She can't tell if he's disappointed, disgusted, or perhaps a mixture of the two. A profound sadness lingers in his gaze. He must wonder how they ended up here, how things went so horribly wrong in the span of what feels like mere moments. Luna reminds herself that this is the price she paid to keep Blaise safe. That losing him was worth it to save his life. But doubt lingers in her mind, casting an ominous shadow over every choice she's made thus far. When she realizes Blaise won't speak, Luna continues, casting caution aside, "I know you can See." Blaise's gaze collides with hers, perhaps for the first time in what feels like years. "And what of it?" Blaise asks in a clipped tone. His words conceal a quiet threat, as if daring Luna to utter her thoughts out loud. "And you hoped I would come here. You hoped I would come to you. You can't lie to me, Blaise."
