The lighted sign at the Cozy Dog Drive-In Springfield, IL towers about the cars in the parking lot. It’s at least twice the height of the building. Two animated cozy dogs (battered hot dogs) on sticks (one male presenting one female presenting) are wrapped in an embrace or maybe dancing. These two spin around at the top of the sign. Thes middle section is a yellow lighted sign that reads “Cozy Dog Drive-In” and the bottom white section (missing from this photo ) is a reader board. At the time of this photo, it read “better than corn dogs.”

Here's another sketch I made of Bob Waldmire's bus. It was an early schoolie! Sleeping loft and a sunporch upstairs. Downstairs: kitchen, bathroom, sauna, sitting area, office/studio and a little porch off the back. Drawn in 2020 #art #schoolie #schoolbusconversion #artjournal #bobwaldmire
