#Book13 It’s a collection of essays that I quite enjoyed. The author is one of the most beautiful women in the world, but this work of words, gives the reader an intimate portrait of her as a human being, not just a pretty face staring back at you from the pages of a magazine.

Imagine if your 67-year-old grandmother decided to walk the 800-mile Appalachian trail then she did it. Emma Gatewood actually did it in 1955. Great story you will want to read.

Another author that I read more of due to a school language lesson. After being assigned (and enjoying) The Day of the Triffids to read, I came across The Chrysalids in the library. It was during the cold war crisis when a nuclear war was being threatened by our so called leaders (power mad fools they are with their ‘my dicks bigger than yours’ mentality) Anyway, as I was progressing through the book I began to realise John Wyndam was describing how our future generations could be in a post apocalyptical world, and it really hit home to me how insane nuclear war threats are – no one wins. Luckily, we got through that crisis and are still here – but here we go again…
