好きなタイプのドラマだったー！
2話でひとつの事件が完結する形式で、どれも家族の問題を取り上げている。ちょっと変わった脳に関する病気が関わることと、普遍的な家族の人間関係に焦点が当たっていることとのバランスがよい。ユーモアも家族の距離感もカラッとしていてちょっと韓ドラっぽくない感じ。
手塚治虫の｢ブラックジャック｣を思い出すエピソードもあり。

昨夜はチャテヒョンの元妻役イェジウォンさんの突拍子もないコントで爆笑。いきなり街中でポールダンス。この方は韓国俳優界でそういう(どういう？)位置にいるお方なのかな、ドドソソララソでの、街のファッションリーダー、シングルオンマもよかったけど、独特の雰囲気でおもしろいよね。

チャテヒョンが人の良すぎる刑事役(似合いすぎ)で、これから相棒になるはずのジョンヨンファが悪ぶってわざと人を遠ざける孤独な天才脳医学者。
気弱で声の小さい刑事(チャテヒョン上司)クァクソニョンとともに、事件を解決していく…。
脳にまつわる病気がテーマ、事件の内容は荒唐無稽だけど、軽やかでおもしろいです。2023年作品

I'm dropping #Brainworks for now. While there are parts that I really like, esp. the neurological stuff, the other story parts are lacking, including some performances.
8 eps. into #BrainWorks & yet nothing much has changed. The brain stuff is really fascinating, but I'm guessing all the effort for researching/writing it took away from other stuff bc they're kinda flat. Well, except for her. I could watch an entire drama based on her character.
#Trolley and #Brainworks won't be airing next Monday 1/23 and Tuesday 1/24 during Seollal (Lunar New Year).
So, I'm not sure I'm sold on #Brainworks' humor or story beats, but the brain stuff is really interesting. This week's episodes dealt with cults: why people are attracted to them & why it's difficult to leave even if they know better, & the psychological void left after leaving.
I just watched the first episode, and while I think the bromance will be great, I'm totally living for the over-sexed ex-wife and her shenanigans. (Seriously, that's her whole personality!) #BrainWorks
