The female is perched on top, mouth full of nest making materials, the brighter blue male is perched looking down into the hole in the tree stump. The stump is about 5 feet high, grown into the chainlink fencing (as see along the bottom of the picture) and my half-finished garden boxes are visible behind. Description of the birds: female is a light bluish grey color with tan sholders and a bright blue tail. She blends in very well with the tree bark. The male has a rusty colored stomach with the lower half of his belly being white. His wings, back, tail and top of his head are very bright blue. So blue it almost looks fake.

Ohhhhmahhhhgawd yall! Imma have to be careful in my garden this year...
