A poem: Fleeting Joy Today, I have no aches. My breathing is steady and satisfying. My bills are paid and there is no council tax this month. The hens have started laying. Even the mild, dry weather is my friend. I have enough energy to bake a cake and my mug of green tea is just the right temperature. On Friday, I am off to London for a concert at the Barbican and soon it's my birthday. So what vile, stomach-sucking horror is waiting for me… ...just around the corner? Mavis Moog 2025
