This week I began excavating my first feature & getting it on the plan! This pit is really beginning to take shape now the baulk has finally gone. Really pleased I spotted the clay lining too.

This weekend, after years of fieldwalking, I finally excavated my very first lithic! This lovely hammerstone with its distinctive iron stained cortex was a welcome sight in my baulk.
