Today we had a game of #byfireandsword in the club. Sweden vs. HRR in skirmish size. I find Skirmish really challenging. If you steal an activation from your opponent by e.g. a salvo, this can turn the tide quickly. #wargaming #15mm

#byfireandsword leaves a lot room for manoeuvres, with 6 elements on the table reflecting the character of Eastern Europe conflicts of 17th century. Terrain is influencing the outcome in a modest but decisive way. I managed to defend the hill with my armoured cav vs mighty Hussars.

Todays club game: #byfireandsword task force Sweden vs. plush Lithuanian commonwealth with my friend Peter. It was a great and close game with winged hussars – great fun. First time with my swedes brought me a victory but it was close.

The Pike and Shot unit pushed forward and drew massive fire from the Artillery.
The Cuirassiers came in late and had trouble to push forward in time.
The Osman Artillery ruled the corridors next to the village.
Bank holiday in GER: We used it for a game of #byfireandsword in task force size. A historical accurate match of Osmans vs. Holy Roman Empire. We played the scenario skirmish and I could manage to win 8:5 with HRR. #wargaming #pikeandshot
