A man and black dog play on a wet sandy beach. The dog arches to reach for the lure wand the man is using to teasse and coax the dog to chase, run and jump. The sun is setting behind them amongst wispy clouds, casting a golden glow on the glassy sheen of the sand and sea.

The object pictured is a hag stone, a stone with a naturally occurring hole. They are also known as adder stones, witch stones, or Odin stones. The holes are typically formed by water erosion or boring creatures like piddocks. Hag stones have been found to have magical properties. They are believed to bring protection and good luck. Some believe looking through the hole allows one to see witches or fairies. They are sometimes called wishing stones.
A man playing with a black dog on a beach with a lure wand. The sun is to the upper right, and the surf can be seen behind them, bathed in golden light.
Cape Mears Oregon, beach at sunset with several haystack visible in the ocean, far in the distance. Several surfers can barely be made at close to the waters edge. Closer in the frame, shadows grow over a sandy, driftwood littered, beach.
#CapeMears adventure. Found several many by-the-wind-sailor jellies and a really rad Hag Stone! 😲. Makes me giggle just looking at it! Spouse played with Oakley, he was in need of zoomy time! Really pretty today. Overcast and quiet. My favorite.😍 #photography #westcoastkin #beach #dogsofbluesky
A long monochromatic shot that stretches the beach into the smooth waters of Cape Mears Oregon as if they fade seamless into one another. There are dotted animal tracks, likely from the black dog seen in the far distance of the center frame. The dog is in motion, clearly running at high speed towards the photographer. Small sparkles in the sand appear sporadically as the sun glits off of former sea life. 🦐 🐚
Cape Mears, Oegon. Oakley having well deserved zoomy-doggo-donuts time, at our favorite beach. Lucky for us, it's 5 minutes from our driveway. 💙 🌊 🐕 📷 ☁️

A partially cloudy sky is giving way to the sun, as it glows from behind the fluffy layer they make, hovering above the coastline at Cape Mears oregon. The beach is wet, creating an opportunity for the sky's blue, break-through, reflection to emerge among the rippling damp. In the far distance a haystack and coastline point, can be seen.
