This species typically grows in arid and semi-arid regions of Iran. It is a valuable #medicinal_plant. The flower buds and fruits are harvested and used to make a type of pickle.

Beautiful orange-yellow butterfly on a large yellowish flower with multiple drooping long white stamens. Green vegetation is the background showing a couple of red-tipped flower buds.

Still in Hawai'i, we're seeing an introduced #butterfly on an endemic species (if I have my IDs correct). The #butterfly being a Large Orange Sulphur and the plant, a Maiapilo, a threatened species in the #capparaceae family found only on islands of Hawai'i and a few other small Pacific islands.
