(Text wall below, you have been warned) In my Captain Crow x Lou (default) AU/ship timeline, at one point Crow does obtain the Phoenix Crow transformation too. Around Supercity, the heroes are fighting a bit bigger of a threat than usual. They are so cunning, that they even end up figuring out the biggest weak points of each hero, Captain's being that he has been in a secret relationship with a civilian/seller robot called Lou (in this AU Lou lives in, and the Snowtel is resided in, Supercity too for convenience's sake) Each one of the villain team would threaten to attack these weak points in some way or another in order to get a reaction, a physical appearance, of the heroes in a hurry in a weak moment, to annihilate them all the easier. Lou was all on his own when one of the villains approached him and attacked him, and right as they were charging a big attack almost to end Lou, they get the expected reaction from Captain Crow who is always on the look for problems that these guys cause, especially cautious of his bf.
(Text wall part 2) Crow jumped right at Lou pushing him aside, and so the villain with a pleased grin shot full force at Crow, killing him. Lou froze in shock, while the villain would laugh maniacally, until Crow suddenly started glowing and levitating, and there the spirit of vengeance possessed him making him "resurge from the ashes" giving him his superform, Phoenix Crow. What exactly happened there and why? Crow was already thinking very very down on himself before, thinking he never should've risked even having anything at all with anyone, so when this moment struck, it was like the moment of final culmination of his guilt, when he jumped he could think nothing but "this is all my fault", "I'll die here.", and "it'll all be my fault if he dies instead of me-" The spirit of revenge felt his great sense of sacrifice for the love of his life, and so finally found a fitting vessel for a portion of its power, and a great knight who should stay alive to keep defending the city for years to come.
(Text wall part 3) Outside of the superform, Crow went back to normal upon being revived, he actually couldn't believe at all what just happened and still doesn't fully understand it, all he felt was the enemy's blast, then suddenly when all was black... a light, very bright light, while someone from above asked him, "wake up." and so he did without even trying to, all because of the Phoenix/revenge flame magic. I like to think he was already using this Phoenix magic in a way lesser amount before but by own merit/practice to channel it somehow from its essence there was spread around. Idk if you understand me but okay Ik the Captain Crow skin is an actor skin or smthn but this is an AU where the heroes are real heroes villains real villains etc.
Now, some things for my superheroes AU, where Captain Crow is in a relationship with civilian/default skin Lou! I still need a name for this variation y'all!
